Tristan R. Armer

Tristan R. Armer has over twenty-five (25) years experience representing businesses, banks, credit unions, employers, insurance companies and public entities.  He has been an attorney in a private practice since 1996 with lead jury trial experience in civil & criminal matters ranging from a multi-million dollar mass tort case to capital murder case.  His core experience includes litigating commercial disputes, employment liability, worker’s compensation claims and pre-litigation work as “outside” counsel for businesses, banks, public entities and insurance carriers in disputes for debts, injuries, contracts, employment claims, and bankruptcy matters.  He is licensed and regularly practices in both Alabama and Mississippi.  His goal in every matter is to obtain results with cost-efficient representation.

In December, 2024, he received the Mobile County Bar/South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Association’s Ben Kilborn Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award.  He is past-president of the Jackson County Bar Association and was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers® Mid-South Edition in the workers’ compensation practice area.  He is past-chairman for the worker’s compensation section of the Mississippi Bar Association.  His community service includes serving as Judge Pro Tem for the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, as past-Jackson County Harbor Commissioner, past-Vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs, past-City of Ocean Springs Civil Service Commissioner and past-president of CCA-Horn Island Chapter.  Mr. Armer received his B.B.A. from James Madison University and his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.  When not working or raising his children he enjoys fishing with his wife, Hon. Stacie (Armer) Zorn and homebrewing.
