Heidelberg Steinberger is very proud to note former firm member, Cory Wilson, has been nominated for a judgeship on the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals by President Trump. Cory opened the firm’s Jackson, Mississippi office before being elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was later appointed to the Mississippi Court of Appeals where he presently serves. He was joined by another former firm member, Judge Tony Lawrence, on the Mississippi Court of Appeals.
Last year, President Trump nominated Judge Wilson for a US District Court Judgeship in the Southern District of Mississippi. The new nomination to the Fifth Circuit comes after his Senate committee hearing last year. Judge Wilson is a native of Moss Point, Mississippi and a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Yale Law School.
