Firm member Jimmy Heidelberg has been unanimously confirmed by the Mississippi Senate to serve another term on the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board after being nominated by Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann. This will be Heidelberg’s fourth term after being previously appointed by Lt. Governor Phil Bryant in 2008 and by Lt. Governor Tate Reeves in 2012 and 2016. The five member board regulates oil and gas production in Mississippi which is a vital industry for the state and nation.

 

            Heidelberg states, “I am honored to serve Mississippi again and to have been called upon by the third Lt. Governor to do so. Mississippi’s oil and gas industry is an important part of Mississippi’s economy and employs thousands of our talented workers. Energy is vital to every man, woman, and child in Mississippi and it powers every job we have. Mississippi has abundant resources and we do our best to promote its oil and gas production while also safeguarding our communities and Mississippi’s vibrant environment. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members and our outstanding staff for another four years.”
